The Salvation Army is encouraging the Valley community to “Earn Your Wings” this holiday season by volunteering for a variety of activities and events.

 

People who generously donate their time to The Salvation Army this holiday season will receive a beautiful “Earn Your Wings” collectible pin to wear proudly in showing they have joined the “Fight for Good.”

 

Among the ways you can volunteer and “Earn Your Wings” are…

 

•    Ringing at one of the hundreds of Salvation Army Red Kettles adorning storefronts across the Valley.
•    Volunteering for preparation, serving, cleanup, etc., at our dinners on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day at the Phoenix Convention Center.
•    Filling the need for volunteer drivers to transport a variety of goods and materials.

 

You can also “Earn Your Wings” as part of The Salvation Army Christmas Angel program, which provides toys for more than 50,000 kids in need. Volunteers are needed to staff Christmas Angel trees in malls Valley-wide. Help is also needed in the warehouse from where the gifts are distributed to families in need.

 

Additionally, you can “Earn Your Wings” when you donate toys to the Christmas Angel program and bring the joy of the holidays to children in need.*

 

Volunteers will receive their collectible “Earn Your Wings” pin when checking in onsite at the event/location at which they are volunteering – with the exception of Red Kettle volunteers. Red Kettles volunteers are asked to please inquiry with their respective local Red Kettle coordinator about receiving their collectible pin.

Those donating toys to the Christmas Angel program will receive their collectible pin when they return the gifts they’ve purchased with the tag to the Christmas Angel tree.*
